The Internet

I find it amazing how far the internet came in the past 20 years. I remember when I was a younger kid, we had to worry about dial-up connection that shut down the phone-lines. We had to wait forever for some webpages to load. Now everything has the potential to connect online. This ranges from phones, video games, TVs, etc. Most Webpages load instantaneously. You can save documents online and load them on a separate computer.

Video Game Systems

I know i already talked about playing games, but now i will talk about my opinions on the Systems. I have a Wii,  Xbox 360, PS3, and 3DS. Out of all of these i mostly use the Xbox, mainly because  most if not all my friends play in online.  Unfortunately unlike the others the online cost money. I then My 3DS I find it the easiest to play since it is portable. I find the 3-D  features useless however, and there aren't that many games for it currently. The PlayStation 3 (which i got $200 off because of a coupon) has free online, can play Blu-ray, and several fun games. Unfortunately none of my friends own one, due to the price, and I can't seem to get the screen settings to go full-screen. I hardly ever use the Wii anymore. There is hardly any online, poor graphics, and the motion controls kind of get old after a while. However some games are very fun such as Legend of Zelda: skyward sword or Super Smash Bros Brawl.

Computer Viruses

I have had problems with computer viruses before. Most of them are harmless, if just slightly annoying. But sometimes i pick up some extreme ones. As said in an earlier post, my desktop once had all its data slowly erased until we couldn't connect to and anything and all we could do was turn the computer off an reset it. My first laptop had a virus that caused the  hard-drive to slowly fill up with one gigabyte of data every hour or so. That was fixed with a Disk cleanup. The computer I am using now once had a complete hard-drive crash and had to get a new one. I had the computer for barely 6 weeks. My mom keeps picking up some virus  mostly because she thinks the scans will find them before they do damage.

My Laptop Computer

 At home I mostly use a laptop. We used to have a decent desktop computer, but it got a serious computer virus , had to be completely reset, and when it was restored, it lot the use of the external wireless internet connection. There was no point of using it without it. Out of the two I prefer a laptop, but at times I hate how it can run slower, and it has a smaller screen.( My friend has a desktop the he used a large TV has a screen.) another problem with my computer when i type occasionaly the marker moves for absolutly no reason to random spots on the screen.  It does have its advantages, though , being a laptop it is portable. It is a gaming laptop so it does play games very well. It  can also download games pretty fast if i have a good connection.

Internet Browsers

There are various different browsers for The internet. These Include Internet Explorer, Google Chrome, Safari, and Mozilla Firefox. I am currently using Google Chrome on my personal laptop, mostly because Internet Explorer most recent update didn't install correctly, and runs incredibly slow, freezes the menu bar, and won't load certain websites. I find Safari on the Mac to be a bit confusing, but that mainly comes from my own incompetence on the mac. What I like about Google Chrome is when a webpage freezes, it doesn't shut down the Browser.

Social Network Sites

Personally I do not use sites such as Facebook, Twitter or Myspace. I believe I do have an account for Facebook, but i never touch it. However my younger brother uses Facebook lot, mostly to communicate with his friends. Although i don't use these websites,  i find the very interesting and convenient.
The websites give the ability to communicate with friends and family regardless of location and aloows someone to keep in touch with them.

Youtube

I am constantly on YouTube. My favorite kinds of videos are, TV show parodies, TV clips, video game playthroughs, people talking about games, and video game music.I don't normally leave comments on videos, but I also don't reading them.
